The actress has appeared in films such as Magic in the Water Whisper (1998) as well as What an Idiot (1998). Born in British Columbia Rothery had always had a dream of being a professional. Her first professional experience was in the stage by age thirteen years old, appearing as a dancer on stage in the show Bye Bye Birdie. She was awarded the Most Outstanding Performer award was presented to her in recognition of her role in Annie Get Your Gun by her theater. Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. Aspen Ladd had training in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd was able to continue building upon her victory at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought for three straight wins. She defeated all her opponents during the opening round. In the following fight, she was back at WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision.
