
Suzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, film and television star born on January 31, 1937, and died on the 19th of January, 2008. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and was in films by the late 1950s. Then, she became an important actress in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Then, she was in various television shows and was frequently as a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 which earned her many Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January, 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish and children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater in Manhattan and also of the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
